The Pedlars’ Workshop now has a premises license. Going into the spring we can now offer the following:

Join the team for a beer, bar snacks and a game of backgammon or an impromptu movie screening When: Thursday and Friday 5.00-10.00pm
Menu includes beer from the Kernel brewery, turkish coffee, LBP Focaccia served with cheese or charcuterie and pickles, toasties and butterbread sarnies

When: Saturday 10.00am-2.00pm and Sunday 10.00am-midday

LBP Bakery has job opportunity for baker

The little bread pedlar is a fast growing bakery in based in Central London’s Spa Terminus area in Bermondsey. As well as retailing from our bakery and Pedlars’ Workshop we also supply some of London’s leading coffee shops including Monmouth, Flat White and Allpress.

We are now recruiting a new baker and looking for a candidate who is either an experienced pastry chef, chef or baker to join our close knit team.

You will be working in an artisan bakery, consistently producing premium products (mainly viennoiseries, other sweet treats and a growing range of breads) in a fast paced environment. You need to be able to work well under pressure, be hard-working, focused and produce large quantities of our popular baked goods per shift whilst still maintaining consistent high standards.

Early mornings and weekend work will be required. Please only apply if you live within a reasonable travelling distance of Bermondsey Spa, SE16.

Experience of a professional fast paced kitchen or bakery is essential, along with a good temperament and the ability to communicate effectively.

We would prefer an experienced baker but if your’re an experienced chef or pastry chef and want to convert your skills then training will be provided for the right candidate. We give a one month probationary period and can offer a competitive hourly rate, meals and staff uniform.
