Who We Are

Since 2011, the Little Bread Pedlar has been making and delivering artisan croissants, breads and other treats to cafés, delis and shops across central London by bicycle.

Having worked as a chef and pastry chef for ten years, Nichola Gensler began her quest to perfect and sell croissants, cakes and bread as Cherry Pippin at her Tatchbrook Street market stall in Pimlico. Since then, the business has grown into the Little Bread Pedlar, moving to Bermondsey to join other artisan producers at Spa Terminus. From here, we supply wonderful London cafés seven days a week and continue to sell our wares directly to the public on Saturday from 9am-2pm and from Tuesday to Sunday at our Bermondsey café and bicycle repair shop, the Pedlars’ Workshop.

  1. Hi Nichola & Martin, just a quick note to say my husband is sold on your croissants which he pronounced ‘the best ever’ and I’ve fallen in love with your ‘Parma roses’. Delicious! Tell me, what’s the secret of your spelt loaf? it’s so light, cake-like almost. Good luck with your venture. You’re going to need motor, as well as pedal, power soon … Best, Monique

    • Hi Monique, Thank you so much for your kind words. It was lovely to see you on Saturday, and we are so glad your husband enjoyed the croissants. We look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks. Many thanks, Nichola & Martin
